We’re excited to announce we have successfully secured investment from SFC Capital marking a significant milestone in our journey to transform rainwater management through data-driven solutions.
This funding provides us with the resources to expand and enhance our platform, positioning us to support UK water companies in the delivery of AMP8 from 2025 – 2030.
We’re incredibly grateful to our early supporters and partners who believed in our mission - and this is just the beginning.
Our Rainwater is transforming rainwater management in the UK - Our pioneering approach isn't just about installing infrastructure; we are setting the standard for effective and sustainable rainwater management practices. We empower water companies, local authorities and communities to manage their rainwater more effectively. Through optimisation modelling, engagement and rainwater tank monitoring we turn rainwater tanks into monitored, managed assets, ensuring the right solutions are used in the right locations to reduce sewer spills, surface water flooding, and environmental harm.

His appointment reflects Our Rainwater’s strong commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology and community-led solutions to tackle the growing challenges of surface water and climate resilience.
Our Investors are SFC Capital who operate the UK's leading SEIS fund. SFC are deeply embedded in the UK startup ecosystem, working alongside universities, spin-out ventures, accelerators, incubators, and angel investors to support some of the country’s most promising innovations. Through partnerships with organisations such as Innovate UK and the British Business Bank, they play a vital role in helping early-stage companies like ours access the resources and networks needed to grow and scale.
We have come a long way since our early beginnings. Backed by Innovate UK funding, we developed and launched the UK's first dedicated rainwater management platform. This was initially piloted through an Ofwat Innovation project in partnership with four UK-based water companies. A huge step in demonstrating its potential to support large-scale rainwater management. The project received national recognition in 2024, winning a Susdrain SuDS Award in the Regeneration and Retrofit category for the Community Centric Rainwater Management Project in partnership with Thames Water.
Alongside this, we have been recognised more broadly for our platform development and our role as champions of change in the sector. Our work has been acknowledged with nominations for both the Tech South West Awards, 2024 and the SETSquared Impact Award.
Since launch, we have successfully delivered multiple pilot projects across the UK, using our platform to help scale and manage sustainable rainwater solutions. These pilots have not only generated revenue, but also delivered measurable impact, helping to transform rainwater management in both urban and community settings. Through our integrated optimisation modelling, real-time monitoring and meaningful engagement, we are ensuring that each project delivers data-driven results and practical outcomes on the ground.
We are also proud to be investing in the future through our work with schools, inspiring the next generation of engineers and sustainability champions. Through tailored teaching resources, interactive activities, and child-friendly rainwater management dashboards, we engage young people in real-world environmental challenges, while also encouraging them to collect and contribute real-world data, such as rainfall measurements. This data feeds directly into our platform, enhancing local monitoring efforts and helping build a shared understanding of rainwater systems within communities.
So far, we have had thousands of sign-ups and interactions, and customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive with a rating of over 4.5/5 stars and 100% of users saying they would recommend us.
We are a small but mighty team, soon to grow, with deep expertise across water management, technology, and engagement, from flood risk and hydrological modelling to web development, marketing, and communications. This blend of skills enables us to deliver technically robust, user-focused solutions that are built for lasting impact.
Our vision is to lead the transformation of rainwater management in the UK, driven by data, grounded in impact and designed for lasting change
We will use the funding to scale our team and accelerate product development, ensuring we’re well-positioned to support the UK water sector through AMP8. This includes expanding our technical capabilities, enhancing platform features, and growing our capacity to deliver impactful, data-driven rainwater management solutions at scale.
Our goal is to become a key partner in helping the sector meet its environmental, resilience, and innovation targets in the years ahead by reducing surface water flooding and sewer spills into our waterways.

Imagine a world where we captured every drop of rain falling on our rooftops. . . Rain is a precious resource and solution, not a threat. By harnessing its potential through smart, targeted interventions and real-time monitoring, we help communities and organisations shift from reactive fixes to proactive, data-driven strategies.
At our core, we believe data drives better decisions. That’s why we combine practical rainwater interventions, like water butts and attenuation devices, with smart monitoring and analytics. Our projects deliver measurable, meaningful impact for individuals, communities, water companies and the environment.
We offer the tools, evidence, and insight needed to meet regulatory requirements, build trust, and future-proof investments.
