1. Promoter
Fairmead in Bloom (the "Competition") is promoted by Our Rainwater Ltd, registered in England and Wales (the "Promoter", "we", "us", "our"). For any queries relating to this Competition, please contact us at [email protected].
2. Eligibility
2.1. The Competition is open to residents of Fairmead Avenue, Westcliff-on-Sea who have had a rainwater planter installed as part of the Our Rainwater project.
2.2. Entrants must be aged 18 or over to submit an entry on behalf of their household. Entries to the Young Growers category may feature the work of a child under the age of 16, but the entry itself must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian on the child's behalf.
2.3. Only one entry per household is permitted, and entrants may enter only one category (either Prettiest Planter or Young Growers) per household.
2.4. Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of the Promoter, its partner organisations, or anyone professionally connected with the administration of the Competition are not eligible to enter.
2.5. By entering the Competition, entrants confirm they meet all eligibility criteria set out in this clause.
3. How to Enter
3.1. Entry is free. No purchase, payment, or fee of any kind is required to take part.
3.2. To enter, residents must submit a clear photograph of their planted rainwater planter via the official submission link provided by the Promoter, along with the entrant's name, address, and contact details, and confirmation of which category they are entering.
3.3 Entrants can submit up to 5 photos of their chosen planted rain planter via the official submission link.
3.4. The Competition opens for submissions on Monday July 13th and closes at 9am on Friday September 11th at 5pm. Entries received after the Closing Date will not be considered.
3.5. It is the entrant's responsibility to ensure their entry is submitted correctly and in good time. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, or not received for any reason, including technical failure.
4. Categories
4.1. There are two categories:
5. Judging and Winner Selection
5.1. Entries will be judged by a panel selected by the Promoter and/or its partner organisations (the "Judging Panel"). The judging process is based on skill, creativity, and care shown in the entry, and is not a random draw.
5.2. Judging criteria will include, but is not limited to: visual appeal, creativity, evidence of care and effort, and (for the Young Growers category) evidence of genuine involvement from a young person.
5.3. The decision of the Judging Panel is final and binding. No correspondence or discussion will be entered into regarding individual entries or judging decisions.
5.4. Winners will be selected and notified by September 25th. The winner of each category will be contacted directly using the details provided at entry. If a winner cannot be reached within a reasonable period after the Promoter has made all reasonable attempts to make contact, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
5.5. In accordance with industry good practice, the Promoter will publish or make available the first name and general area (e.g. street or local area, not full address) of each winner, unless a winner objects to this at the time of entry. Entrants are notified of this intention by these Terms and Conditions and may object by contacting [email protected].
6. Prizes
6.1. Prettiest Planter winner will receive: a £100 local garden voucher and a Kleen Kanteen x Frank Water bottle.
6.2. Young Growers winner will receive: a £100 local garden voucher, a Bee Bomb, and a Bug Hotel.
6.3. Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and there is no cash alternative.
6.4. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize, in whole or in part, for a prize of equivalent or greater value, where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.
6.5. Prizes will be delivered or made available to winners within 30 days of being notified as a winner.
7. Photographs, Submissions, and Use of Content
7.1. By submitting a photograph or any other content to this Competition, entrants confirm that they own the rights to the photograph, or have obtained all necessary permissions to submit it.
7.2. Where a photograph includes an identifiable child, the entrant confirms they are the parent or legal guardian of that child, or have express permission from the parent or legal guardian, to submit the photograph and to grant the permissions set out in this clause.
7.3. By submitting an entry, entrants grant the Promoter and its partner organisations a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and display the submitted photograph(s) and any accompanying text for the following purposes:
7.4. The Promoter will not publish full home addresses, telephone numbers, or email addresses alongside any photograph or entry.
7.5. Where reasonably possible, the Promoter will seek to avoid publishing photographs that identify an entrant's home address or precise location, but entrants should be aware that garden photographs may inherently reveal some details of their property.
8. Data Protection
8.1. The Promoter will process personal data provided as part of a Competition entry in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
8.2. Personal data collected (such as name, address, and contact details) will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Competition, including verifying eligibility, contacting winners, and delivering prizes.
8.3. Personal data will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes, and will be retained only for as long as necessary to administer the Competition and fulfil any related reporting obligations.

8.5. Entrants have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting [email protected].
9. Liability
9.1. The Promoter cannot guarantee that the systems used for entering the Competition will be free from errors, interruptions, or technical faults, and accepts no liability for entries lost, delayed, or not received as a result of such issues.
9.2. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury arising from entrants' participation in the Competition or use of any prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law (including death or personal injury caused by the Promoter's negligence).
10. General
10.1. By entering this Competition, entrants are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
10.2. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, or to cancel, suspend, or postpone the Competition, at any stage, where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary. Any such changes will be communicated clearly to entrants where reasonably practicable.
10.3. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
