The Our Rainwater team are incredibly excited to announce that we are one of the winners of the Catalyst stream of Ofwat's second Water Breakthrough Challenge! This groundbreaking initiative, focused on community-centric rainwater management, aims to promote the widespread adoption of rainwater harvesting techniques at the grassroots level. By motivating customers to offset their impermeable areas with rainwater storage solutions, the project seeks to evaluate how communities can be incentivised to embrace these practices.

The project is led by Thames Water and project partners include Isle Utilities, Indepen, South West Water, Wessex Water and Anglian Water. The project is funded through the Ofwat Innovation Fund. This is a £200 million scheme to encourage cross-sectorial collaboration and develop innovation within the water sector to ‘meet the evolving needs of customers, society and the environment’.
